Yes we certainly do. Around 95% of our groups have never driven a Segway. Firstly we provide each rider with a safety helmet (Compulsory), hi-visibiity jacket, safety gloves, elbow & knee pads. Then we start the training in a controlled and safe environment where each rider is instructed on how to use the Segway whilst also practising on the vehicle until and learning how to ride it. It takes on average 5 to 10 mins for new users to feel confident as they soon come to realise that it is incredibly easy and intuitive to drive a Segway!
To ride a Segway on one of our activities you will have to meet the following requirements: - Riders must be over 100 pounds and less than 250 pounds (46-113 Kilos) - Riders must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. - You must be physically self-sufficient. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing under 100 pounds (46 kg) or over 250 pounds ( 113kg). It can be ridden by people from ages 10 to approx. 70. For participants from 10 to 17 years of age we require a waiver to be signed by a legal guardian. IMPORTANT: Pregnant women and those under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will not be be permitted to ride a Segway on our activities .
The use of mobile phones, pagers, PDAs, cameras, iPhones, text messaging devices, and other mobile communication devices are prohibited while operating the Segway.
Yes, you will receive a "booking confirmation" e-mail with all of the necessary details of your booking, which includes: Activity Time, Date, Location: Directions, Group Size, & Deposit Paid with outstanding cost to be paid. Please bring a printed copy of this as confirmation on the day of the tour.
If you cancel with less than 45 days until your activity is due to start you will not be refunded your 50% deposit. When paying the remaining 50% booking fee in the week before your activity is due to start, if group numbers have changed we will adjust final payment to suit. That said, should your numbers greatly reduce the minimum group booking cost must be covered. Should some of your party fail to arrive on the day for whatever reason we will not be providing a refund for those people. No refunds will be made for missed airplanes, buses, trains, very late arrivals etc. and arriving late (Over 1 hour) without contacting us to inform us of the issue may also see your activity booking being unavailable with no refund. If in doubt or you need further clarification on any of the above please don't hesitate to contact us.
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking date and time. To maximize your chance of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. You can do this by bank transfer or by contacting us over the phone.
Wear closed shoes or trainers and dress according to weather.
If it rains before the activities start we will use an indoor court to host your activities. If it rains during the activity we will provide ponchos. That said we will have a fair idea if it is to rain or not so we will choose indoor or outdoor accordingly.
